Galveston Cruise Terminal LLC has awarded Seawing to design, manufacture and install two Mobile Gangways at the new Cruise Terminal 3 on pier 10. Pier 10, which is situated on 10-acre parcel of land, will be used exclusively by Royal Caribbean.
The Gangways will have fully glazed walls to enhance passenger comfort when embarking and disembarking the cruise ships. Design and manufacturing take place in Europe and the Gangways will be shipped partly assembled from Europe directly to Port of Galveston.
The new Galveston Cruise Terminal will be inaugurated in November 2022 and the plan is that one of the largest cruise ships in the world, Allure of the Seas, will be homeported at Galveston Cruise Terminal 3.
